There’s something special about spring weddings. That was absolutely the case when Tracy and Ryan were married on May 4th at Succop Nature Park in Butler, PA. These two are so in love that it made being their wedding photographer easy!
Tracy and Ryan’s Spring Wedding at Succop Nature Park
As a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I see a lot of people in love. I cherish the role I get to play in capturing the moments when two people in love get to say “I do.” I love photographing people in love. And really, Tracy and Ryan are just so in love! They got engaged at Blackwater Falls State Park in West Virginia. Ryan proposed on a cliff, but he was so worried he would drop the ring that he handed Tracy the whole box! What a sweet moment with just the two of them, and such a fun story to tell!
Fast forward to their wedding day, where Tracy was smiling all day long. Ryan kept making her laugh all throughout the day. It was such a pleasure photographing these two together. You can tell in the photos that everyone was having the best time! Spring in Pennsylvania is such a beautiful season and there’s nowhere prettier for a spring wedding than Succop Nature Park! Everything was the most beautiful, stunning green. Everywhere I looked there were beautiful, vibrant green leaves. It made it easy to find places for wedding photos!
Tracy and Ryan shared a sweet first look by the pond. From there, Lizzy and I spent some time photographing them together in some lovely outdoor moments before we met up with the rest of the wedding party. There was a beautiful outdoor ceremony and then everyone made their way to the open-air barn for their reception.
One of the things I loved most about being the wedding photographer for this weekend was how much FUN Tracy and Ryan were. They just had fun with their wedding and took their time. That was even their advice to other engaged couples: “Decide what’s most important to you, and don’t worry about the rest!” I loved that! Their easy-going approach to the day helped them have fun and stay relaxed!
Rainy-Day Wedding Photos
That easy-going attitude was especially important when it started to rain at the end of the night. I know they say that it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day, but after the rainy-day wedding photos we got, I legit hope that this happens for every wedding because I LOVE NIGHTTIME RAIN SHOTS. Honestly, the way the light sparkled off of the raindrops made it look simply magical. And, of course, it was the perfect backdrop for their first lightsaber battle as husband and wife! What more can you ask for at the end of your wedding night??
Tracy and Ryan, I am so happy that you asked me to be your wedding photographer for this magical day. Thank you both so much! Here’s to your years to come!
