Disney World: Bride and Groom Portraits – Tiffany & Michael
SOOOOOO. This is the first of a few posts. Buckle up kids. Lot’s of visual eye candy coming your way! I have been a little preoccupied in this past year with the new baby and have neglected my blogging duties – that is all changing right now! From this point on you will see all of this past years wonderful photo shoots and wedding days. Starting with the wonderful Michael and Tiffany.
Our adventure begins a few days before the pairs wedding (that was aboard the Disney Cruise line Ship, The Disney Dream) day at various Walt Disney World resorts! We started over at the beautiful Grand Floridian Hotel and that grand staircase that it boasts — and we made it to Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk too!
What made you want to do a Disney Resort Shoot?
Michael and I both have a love for the Walt Disney World Resorts. We both interned with disney at resorts while in college and those were remembered as some of the glory days for us. We also frequent Disney and always enjoy staying on property so we knew we needed to have pictures at the resorts even if our formal ceremony was on the Disney Cruise.
Any particular reason behind the resorts you picked for photos?
We chose the resorts that had the most meaning to us. My family owns a part of the Disney Vacation Club so I essentially grew up at these resorts. Our home resorts are Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge. So we definitely wanted pictures at those resorts. Michael also interned at the Wilderness Lodge so that had extra special meaning to him. I specifically wanted Grand Floridian because as a little girl I remember brides getting pictures taken on the infamous staircase so that was a must have on my list. We also wanted to get some pictures at Bay Lake Tower as it is an exclusive Lounge Area for DVC members and has the best view of Magic Kingdom.
The couples advice for doing your own Disney Resort bridal portraits:
Definitely get up and do the shoot bright and early. We had little to know people wandering around or in any of our shots. I encourage multiple resort shoots, but if doing so be sure to have a means of transportation outside of Disney transportation.
